There is an atmosphere of intimidation and tension around those who speak up about Israel’s illegal occupation of the West Bank, the blockade of Gaza, and the equal protection of Palestinian rights under international law. Ted Schmidt who has done all these things, plus be the first teacher in the the Catholic schools of Canada to establish holocaust studies, has followed his conscience and the Sermon on the Mount.
He provides a clear analysis of the issues in the case of the suspended teacher, Nadia Shoufani, and urges us all to fight for the reinstatement of the courageous and valued educator.
