Speeches These speeches were to be delivered at a public meeting called by the Hamilton Police Services Board on Sep. 21 2005 at Theatre Aquarius to discuss the complaints filed by Solidarity for Palestinian Human Rights and the Community Coalition Against Racism about the Police Chief's Trip to Israel. Their delivery was prevented by "catcalls, interruptions and abuse from the pro-Israel contingent in the meeting." (Dr. Graeme MacQueen, Peace Studies.) Bernie Morelli, the chair of the meeting and of the Police Services Board, also censored parts of the speeches as they were being delivered, saying that they were "too political." Only the first three speeches criticizing the importation of Israeli 'policing' methods into Canada were delivered (and those were heavily interrupted). The full text of the speeches is below.
