PANEL: What Does the ‘Coronavirus’ tell us about Imperialism?
The Hamilton Coalition to Stop the War sponsored a panel discussion about what the ‘Coronavirus’ tells us about imperialism. Panelists discussed the differing responses to the crisis between the imperial Global North as compared to predominantly socialist countries, such as China. Imperial and colonial attitudes towards China prevented the U.S. from learning from China’s successful response, leading us to face a greater pandemic than we had to here in the West.
