Two central questions have emerged: First, should the USA be able to instruct Canada to ban Huawei from participating in deployment of the 5G internet technology in our country? Second, should Trudeau have agreed to a request from the USA to arrest Meng in the first place on the grounds that Huawei was doing business in Iran, in the face of US sanctions on that country?
The answer to both questions is “no!”
