A new Governess-General has been appointed, Mary Simon. However, the appointment of an Inuit woman is just a cosmetic solution to the long-term systemic discrimination against native people in Canada. In addition, the fact that she doesn’t speak French is unconstitutional and unfair to Francophones.
In other news, the “China Initiative” was launched in the United States a couple of years ago. Now, it’s being adopted in Canada. The purpose of the policy is to demonize China and Chinese people in North America.
